College Going Out Outfits

When preparing for a new semester, I love to go back to school shopping, especially going going out clothes! At my school during spring semester, we have crazy themes during Saturday since game days are over (counting down the days). I try to buy all my items on sale, especially because they might get stained or ruined unfortunately. Here are some of my style inspirations to help you get ready for a night out!

Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale

Set your Alarms for tomorrow! The annual Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale starts Thursday January 5th at 8am! The sale continues until Friday January 6th at 1pm. Lilly rarely has sales so here are some tips to get your favorite pieces for less!

1. Wake Up Early!

Lilly has a virtual line, so once it hits 8am, you enter into the sale and may have to wait a bit depending on the demand.

2. Create an account

This will eliminate time spent checking out, which gets you one step closer to purchasing your items! Keep in mind that when you add an item to your bag, it is not reserved and can disappear. Act fast!

3. Do not refresh your page

This will lose your place in line, so be patient!

4. Scope out your Favorites Before

Before shopping anywhere, I usually look through the stores website to figure out exactly what I want. Know your size and look through the website tonight to be prepared for tomorrow.

5. Use the Lilly Pulitzer App

I love the Lilly App, especially because of its emojis. If you have trouble using the website, the app is another spot you can try to get into the sale faster!

Happy shopping Lilly fans:)

New Year's Eve Outfits

2016 is finally coming to an end (thank God) after a lot of up and downs! After a long year everyone deserves to celebrate on New Year's Eve, but the problem is never knowing what to wear. This New Year's Eve, I'm ready to help you look the most fashionably dressed at the party, so you can look amazing when you run into old friends, or even exes! The velvet and the suede skater skirt trends are great options for this night and can be worn countless times after. I also love a great sequin top paired with black pants! Below are some of my favorite holiday celebration looks for the new year! Get ready to shine.

Winter Essentials

Crisp weather and snow calls for my favorite season of clothes! I personally love winter because it allows me to layer all of my favorite items into one outfit! There are a few staples that I live by in the winter and I can't wait to share them with you!

The L.L Bean Boot: This shoe is adorably preppy and classic looking. They're very warm and sturdy, especially in the snow and rain. I start wearing them in the fall and last through the winter months.

J.Crew Excursion Vest:  This is hands down the best vest I have ever found. It is very popular but looks great with every top and sweater. If you don't mind the small appearance difference, I definitely recommend looking at J.Crew Factory online to get a similar vest for half the price!

Barbour Parka: With the cold weather and snow, you"ll definitely need a solid jacket to keep you warm. I love this Barbour jacket for its stylish look and lined flannel inside. The fabric is also waxed, making it waterproof which is an extra plus!

Flannels:Don't know what to wear to get cozy without wearing a sweatshirt? Try a flannel! You can dress it up or down depending on the situation, and they look great with the J.Crew vest! Flannels are great and definitely add some holiday colors.

Frye Boots: I love boots. You can definitely figure that out if you see my shoe collection! Boots are so easy to slide on with jeans or a dress. These Frye boots look great with either and are timeless, a great quality, and will last forever if you treat them with care! (Fun fact: My mom still has her Frye boots as a teenager)

Organizing for a New Semester

With fall semester over and winter break sadly coming to an end soon, spring semester is right around the corner! Every winter break, I like to get a jump start on the semester by getting organized before I leave for school. One syllabus week rolls around, all extra curriculum will pick up and my life returns to a crazy schedule! Here's my list to a organized and productive start of the semester!

  1. Gather all necessary supplies such as notebooks, binders, pens, and highlighters. I personally love to use colored pens to differentiate each class in my agenda!
  2. Write out your schedule and take a picture of it on your phone, just in case you forget where your class is on the walk there! I also recommend writing out your professors contact information all on a piece of paper and keeping it in your room.
  3. Plan out your semester in your agenda. Many times college students have multiple events to do in a day, but forget to mark down class in your book. I mark down my classes every day in my agenda, also in my online calendar, on top of my sorority meetings or clubs.
  4. Organize your computer files!!! This is super important, especially with so many classes having online components today. I have a semester folder, containing class folders so all of my documents are extremely easy to find. Set this up in advance for your next semester to save time!
  5. Search Amazon and rental book websites to save money on textbooks! Usually you can find cheaper options compared to your colleges book store and you wont be stuck with them forever. Amazon is a money saver when dealing with textbooks, last semester I saved over $100!
I hope everyone has a great semester and has a fun time getting organized!
